About this track
The busiest track on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the anchor of the region. Founded in 1972 as Magnolia Dragway. Runs the Busch Light King of the Mountain series on Wednesdays and an IHRA Track Championship Series on weekends, including the Summer Iron Man Challenge. Hosts the Gulf Coast DragFest and the Southeast Gassers Association Gulf Coast Nationals. Elevation is about 21 feet, the lowest in the region — worth knowing if you are correcting for air density.
On 17 September 2026, Gulfport Dragway announced that the SDPC Raceshop Great American 50Ks was moving from Montgomery to Gulfport for Oct. 13-17, with parking beginning Oct. 12 and four $50,000-to-win race days.
On 18 September 2026, Gulfport announced a late-breaking addition to the 3rd Annual Cruisin' After Dark on Oct. 8: Neil Esposito's Jersey Attitude Jet Dragster. Gates open 5 PM, track hot 6-11 PM, and spectator admission is $10.

I-10 exit 31, south on Canal Road, cross the railroad tracks about a mile, left onto Racetrack Road.
